ABOUT ME

Chantel began her martial arts career at the ripe age of 8 years old in 1992.  She originally attended Stephen Oliver’s Mile High Karate in Lakewood, CO.  It was at the Mile High Karate that Chantel progressed from a white belt to a conditional 2nd degree black belt. Throughout her progression, she ranked #1 in intramural tournaments in forms and point sparring.

Five years after beginning her martial arts career with the Mile High Karate, Chantel tried out for their demonstration team. She successfully reserved herself a spot on the team with the honor of being the only female on an otherwise all male team. Along with this honor, Chantel has had the privilege to perform and train with Master Harrison Snider, Master Stefanie Flowers, Master Matthew Young, Master Kyle Galloway and many more.

It was during these years that Chantel decided to change from merely practicing martial arts to creating martial arts lifestyle. In 2005-2007, Chantel seeked out Mr. Augustine Rios of Rios Martial Arts to further advance her career.  Here was where she obtained her certified 2nd degree black belt certification. Throughout her training at Rios, Chantel participated in various competitions where she ranked the #1 in adult female traditional forms in the Colorado Karate Association.

While moving her career in martial arts forward, Chantel found herself becoming an Assistant Instructor to Mr. Rios. She began to assist in both competition and performance classes. By now, Chantel had started to build herself a reputation in the NASKA (North American Sport Karate Association) circuit and had found herself yet another instructor to help her build her martial arts lifestyle, Master Tyler Weaver Sr.

As of today, Chantel holds a 2nd degree black belt in the ATA (American Tae Kwon Do Association) under Ms. Kim Bantum of Quest Martial Arts. She also holds a certified 3rd degree black belt under Master Tyler Weaver Sr.  Chantel has performed in numerous demonstrations, team sync competitions and demonstration team competitions including ATA regional and national tournaments. She continues to build upon her martial arts career while helping others to begin their journey into the martial arts lifestyle.
